There
are registry edits being deployed via the Group Policy "comp - Desktop
Settings" that are being edited, causing Windows 10 PCs to lose
functionality. This is due to the
fact that Windows 10 has a new system user called "All Application
Packages" that needs READ permissions on the majority, if not all,
registry keys (especially in HKLM>Software)
The fix for this is to edit each registry key being affected via the "comp - Desktop Settings" policy, specifically by adding "All Application Packages" and giving it read access.
Please note:
1. You may need to click the "Locations" button to find the local user called "All Application Packages." Select the local computer as the source.
